Dorcel Wavy Plug & Spiral Plug: Ultimate Review

Dorcel Wavy Plug & Spiral Plug: Ultimate Review
The Dorcel Spiral Plug (left) and Wavy Plug (right) for textured anal play
Wavy, bumpy, and always ready to go 😎.

Dorcel has some toys I haven't seen before, and that's usually a positive sign! Meaning it's not yet another white-label sex toy sold by many different brands.

Textured plugs can be lots of fun, so I bought the full B-Vibe textured plugs line-up! However, those are really large, and the bumpy one is so large I couldn't make it fit! Those are still in my to-review queue ✨.

One of the B-Vibe textured plugs, but I bought the full set πŸ™ˆ

Dorcel comes to the rescue with their friendly-sized wavy and spiral butt plugs and fun textures πŸ€—. Of course, you can guess, I couldn't resist buying these plugs πŸ˜‚.

Packaging

The Dorcel Wavy and Bumpy plugs come in a regular cardboard box with a neat design to it.

It has a sticker near the cardboard opening which acts as a hygiene seal, although it isn't 100% foolproof – it's still better than no hygiene seal at all. As long as you buy from a trusted sex shop you will be fine!

I was surprised that the very affordable plugs come with a storage pouch, which has a luxurious feel to it! I'm loving these and will definitely use them, perhaps for some glass toys that need a pouch more.

I'm not a fan of the plastic container inside the box. Since silicone is an easy-to-clean material, I don't see why they wouldn't have added some environmentally-friendly cardboard instead.

Shape

Wavy Plug

The wavy plug has a zig-zag pattern all around. The texture isn't very pronounced, and the plug feels slightly squishy. This makes for gentle stimulation.

Its tapered tip makes for a smooth insertion.

Spiral (bumpy) Plug

The spiral plug has clearly defined circular bumps, and its texture is much more obvious than that of the wavy plug, offering more intense stimulation.

Getting both will be a great deal if you're new to textured plugs. These plugs are inexpensive, and having both is great for getting used to textures. The Wavy Plug is a fantastic intro to textured plugs, while the spiral plug will bring you a pleasant and strong bumpy ride upon every insertion.

Size

These plugs are very reasonably sized, if you have any experience with anal toys, these will work out perfectly.

If you're new to anal toys, the Wavy plug could work, although I'd recommend staying away from the spiral plug until you're more comfortable with anal toys.

Both the wavy and spiral plugs have the exact same sizes:

πŸ“
Max Diameter: 1.18" / 3cm
Full length: 4.17" / 10.6cm
Insertable length: 3.54" / 9cm

Long-Term Wear

Thanks to their slight squishiness and flexible necks, these plugs could definitely work for long-term wear. However, it depends on what you define as long-term.

If you're talking about long long wear? Then I'd recommend the Bootie Plug instead as it is more squishy and will be more comfortable, while also giving very enjoyable g/p-spot stimulation.

Material and Texture

The plugs are made from body-safe silicone, which is a very recommended material for anal toys thanks to its non-porousness.

How It Feels

These butt plugs really feel like you would expect them to, which is great!

Wavy Plug

The Dorcel Wavy Plug and its included storage pouch and user manual

Slipping in the softer wavy plug with less-pronounced textures, you can feel those slight zig-zag ridges while it glides in. During insertion, it tends to just slide right into place by itself – I love this feeling and it's not a feeling I can find in every plug.

This sliding into place feeling reminds me of the feeling I had with my first ever butt plug, the Butt Tingler by Lovehoney. It's not the highest-quality plug, but it was great to get started, and this definitely got me hooked for more! Finding back this feeling in this plug made for a pleasant surprise to say the least πŸ€—.

About Lovehoney

I haven't covered LoveHoney on SafeLust yet. They sell both safe and toxic sex toys, and sometimes it's hard to tell them apart.

Still, Lovehoney is a trustworthy sex shop, IF you know how to distinguish safe sex toys from toxic ones. As long as you know what you're buying, for example by reading Safe Lust reviews πŸ˜‰, I can recommend them.

The plug's base is rigid while the neck is flexible enough for comfort. This makes for a sturdy and safe plug that you won't have to worry about slipping in too far (those naughty plugs!).

You won't have to worry about it slipping out accidentally, either. Dorcel seems to have mastered the perfect neck-to-body-to-base ratio here. Once it's in, it's in!

Having used larger toys, it won't give me the full feeling I get from other toys, but if this is the largest size butt plug you've ever tried? I bet it will make you feel nice and full.

Spiral (bumpy) Plug

The Dorcel Spiral plug and its included storage pouch and user manual

The bumpy spiral plug has similar properties as the wavy plug. It has a great ratio of neck/body/base, meaning it won't slip out and slip in accidentally! The toy will slide in by itself during insertion, although not as much as with the wavy plug due to its bumpy resistance.

The bumps are very fun, although they're only on the plug's body. If you're into the textured feel, you'll enjoy sliding it in and out.

The texture is strong, and the bumps give much more resistance than the wavy plug.

I really enjoyed experiencing this texture without having to stretch to a 1.77" / 4.5 cm diameter plug!

Cleaning & Maintenance

As it's a silicone plug, a quick wash with hot water and mild soap does the trick.

Should you get it?

The Dorcel Wavy plug and Spiral plug on their side

These are super affordable, feature a safe design, and are made of safe materials, so there is no reason not to get them.

Both feel great and are a great addition to any collection.

I recommend the Wavy to get started and the Spiral plug once you are ready for some real texture, although you could easily get both at this price.

Who is it not for?

If you're just starting out, these plugs might be a challenge, but they shouldn't be impossible if you take things slow and warm up with your fingers!

If you like larger toys, skip this one.

Alternatives

The Dorcel plugs reminded me of the popular B-Vibe Snug Plugs.

Comparison of the Dorcel Wavy Plug and B-Vibe Snug Plug 1
The Dorcel Wavy Plug next to the B-Vibe snug plug 1

However, both are tough to compare! The Snug Plug has a much higher price tag, starting at 49 USD / 45 EUR. Next, the snug plug isn't meant for having too much texture, it's more of a long-term wear plug with added spice thanks to its weight and moving ball inside.

Quality-wise, the B-Vibe's squishy silicone feels more premium. The neck of the snug plug is more (and almost too?) flexible. If you're looking for textures or a low price tag 🏷️? Go with the Dorcel. If you're looking for a plug for long-term wear and with the highest-quality feel ✨? Get the snug plug.

Pricing

I got both the Wavy and Spiral Plugs for 18 USD / 16 EUR each. Given that they come with a nice silky storage pouch, it's an affordable price for the pleasure they can give.

Summary

Simple silicone plugs can be the best for getting started. Slightly squishy, comfy, and very well-designed, these will please anybody looking for anal toys. Well done Dorcel πŸ†’!
